Splurging

Spluging is part of the good life. The Ladies know that a really good splurge is not about going on a spending spree. It's about that little bit extra that makes all the difference. It's about really enjoying an event because it's exactly what you wanted. These are somethings the ladies feel are always worth that extra bit:

Good shoes
Waffle cones
Cheese on your burger
A better bottle of wine
Coats and Jackets
Brand-name peanut butter
Fresh fruit and veggies
Tickets
Books
Beer
Clothes with quality fabrics
Flowers
Travel
Dinner’s out
Gifts
Musical instruments
Dance classes
Stereo equipment
Art
Seafood
Nights at the Tavern
Nice journals
Buying the entire album
Martinis
Popcorn at the movies
Pizza toppings

Never Trust a Guy Who....

The Ladies know that a good man is hard to find. They also know how to stay away from the really bad ones. They advise a woman to stay far, far away from any man who:

Doesn’t know his state capitals
Orders a latte
Doesn’t name his pets
Wears name-brand sunglasses
Takes longer to get ready than me
Makes me kill a bug for him
Spends $30 on a fake-vintage T-shirt
Can’t play top 5
Can’t change a tire or jump-start his own car
Can’t do the electric slide
Doesn’t have a favorite

Cheeseburgers

One thing you should know about me is that I am an enthusiastic carnivore. Occupying a larger-than-nutrionally-recommended part of my personal food pyramid is the cheeseburger.
There are many ways to enjoy a cheeseburger. Katie enjoys blue cheese on her beef, I like a lot of classic yellow (not spicy brown!) mustard and just a dab of ketchup. There also is an art to eating the cheeseburger, and that is to make an enormous mess.
A list of places the I have lunched on cheeseburgers in Boston. I'm working on a New York list.
